What to watch: The Red Wings are off to a 0-2 start for the first time since 1989-90. The Hawks are banged up with four regulars out of the lineup in Dave Bolland (back), Ben Eager (upper body), Marian Hossa (shoulder) and Adam Burish (knee). The Red Wings are without Darren Helm (clavicle).

Last season: Detroit won four of the six regular-season games, two in shootouts, then beat the Hawks in five games in the Western Conference finals.
