Schaumburg Farmers Market extended

Schaumburg's Farmers Market will continue a bit longer than usual this year, through Friday, Oct. 30. The market usually wraps up in mid-October, but this year enough vendors requested the extension to make it feasible, said village senior landscape planner Martha Dooley, who helps coordinate the market. The relatively cool, wet summer extended the usual harvesting season. The market takes place 7 a.m. to 1 p.m. Fridays in the parking lot of the Trickster Gallery at 190 S. Roselle Road and features fresh produce, flowers, baked goods, pet treats, frozen meats, spices, family-friendly activities and more. For information, call (847) 923-3855.
