Woodridge man fatally shot

A 32-year-old Woodridge man died Saturday night from gunshot wounds after a shooting early Saturday in Broadview.

The victim of the double shooting was identified as Maurice Orange, according to a news release from the Broadview Police Department. A second person was taken to a hospital with wounds that were not life-threatening, the statement said.

A Broadview patrol officer heard gunshots coming from an alley north of Roosevelt Road just after 1 a.m. Saturday. Upon investigation the two shooting victims were found.

Orange was taken to Loyola University Medical Center in Maywood, where he died late Saturday, according to the Cook County Medical Examiner's Office.

No arrests had been made Sunday, and Broadview police were asking anyone with information to call (708) 345-6550.
