Don't qualify for help, yet can't pay for food
I am trying to understand why my tax dollars go to help other people, some of whom do not need it. I applied for food stamps and was denied. I am a full-time student, and I work 24 hours a week. My husband is unemployed and my daughter is a full-time student.
I am trying to better myself for my family. My husband did not choose to be out of work. My point is, where is the help when we need it? Does anyone care if people eat? Apparently not.
I have bills, mortgage and a family to take care of, yet when it comes to food who cares? We need the help. I shouldn't have to pay for others to eat when I can't use our own money to eat.
I have appealed. I can't get help. Why? Because we make too much. I am sick of being treated by people at the office who state, "Oh, I have reviewed and decided you don't qualify." What gives you the right to decide who eats and who doesn't? I am not asking for money, I am not asking you to pay my bills, I am asking to feed my family.
