Three Career Nights on tap in District 214
Northwest Suburban High School District 214 will host three Career Nights in October and November, where each night will focus on different career clusters, highlighting various professions in each category.
With representatives from numerous businesses and industries, students and their parents will receive information on planning for the future.
The selection of presenters is determined by a student survey done in the spring. Top areas of interest are chosen and speakers are invited to informally talk with students. A Career Night may also help open the door to enrollment in the district Internship Program, as well as the Education and Medical Academies.
• "Careers in Arts & Communication/Human Services," will be held at Rolling Meadows High School on Oct. 14.
• "Careers in Health & Natural Resources" will be held at Prospect High School on Oct. 29.
• "Careers in Engineering/Industrial Technology/Business & Computers," will be held at John Hersey High School on Nov. 12.
All events begin at 7 p.m. with registration starting at 6:30 p.m. There will be two breakout sessions and a networking session and each program will conclude at 9 p.m.
