Two men injured in triple-vehicle accident in Cary

Two men were injured in an accident Thursday evening after a car, a motorcycle and a semi collided at about 7 p.m. in Cary.

Officials are still trying to piece together what happened during the accident, but said it seemed the car hit the semi, which then rolled into the motorcycle at the corner of Route 14 and Three Oaks Road.

Police said they are still investigating the incident.

The driver of the car and the motorcyclist were taken to Advocate Good Shepherd Hospital in Barrington with minor injuries, officials said. The truck driver was treated at the scene and released.

Eastbound Route 14 traffic was down to one lane for about 45 minutes while crews cleared the scene.
