Trouble with liberals is the right-wing

Regarding Cal Thomas' column "Trouble is brewing in liberal land," the reason trouble is brewing is that right-wing media personalities and also Republicans in the government are causing trouble. They will say or do anything to promote their own agenda. We have people like Glenn Beck and Rush Limbaugh who will do anything to stir up fear and hatred in people who do not know any better.

We have organizations and the GOP who are paying people and sending people to town hall meetings who are completely ignorant of the facts and have no desire for any discussion whatsoever, but are just there to scream and yell and stir up trouble. It is very sad and makes my fear for my own country when this is not only allowed but listened to.

How dare you say the health care reform bill "has been exposed at town hall meetings as a power grab over life and death with the strong possibility that 'do no harm' will be replaced by a utilitarian approach to treatment?" Please, Mr. Thomas, study the facts and stop twisting things that are good and right and making them sound like something ugly. How do you live with your conscience at the end of the day?

I am also disappointed in the Democrats, who need to be louder with this disapproval for this type of behavior. But typically the Democrats are more polite, and stick more to the truth and to the facts, and we all know this is not what gets a lot of people's attention.

Come on, America, smarten up. Those of us who know better should speak up.
