Why aren't dentists in health plan?

Dr. Gott recently wrote in another newspaper column that dentists are doctors who specialize on a specific part of the human anatomy are just like other medical doctors, such as heart, brain or foot specialists.

If the dentists are considered doctors, why isn't dentistry a part of Obama's health care plan? More people probably need dental care more than other medical care.
