Students flipping for wellness in Dist. 220
The Jesse White Tumblers flipped, dove and cartwheeled their way into Lines School in Barrington Friday, both to kick off Wellness Week at the school and help celebrate its 40th anniversary.
The tumblers delighted the students with their signature acrobatics. And the group's eponymous founder, Illinois Secretary of State Jesse White, addressed the students, encouraging them to stay in school and talking about the hard work and dedication his troupe represents.
Wellness Week culminates Friday, Sept. 26, with the PTO-sponsored "Laps for Lines" fundraiser. Students are gathering sponsored and will march around the block to raise money for the school, specifically to purchase electronic smartboards for classrooms.
Those interested in helping in the effort can contact the school at (847) 381-7850.
