Warren High to fill board seat:
Warren Township High School District 121 in Gurnee has called a special meeting for Tuesday, Sept. 15, for the appointment of a new board member. Warren board President John Anderson said seven candidates applied to fill the seat vacated by veteran Roberta Pfeiffer. Anderson called the number seeking the board seat surprising and "a great thing." In her Aug. 18 resignation letter, Pfeiffer expressed concern about board members having individual agendas. Pfeiffer was re-elected in 2007.
