I should be telling senator what to do
Just got an e-mail from Senators Dick Durbin, Chuck Schumer and Patrick Leahy. They want me to write a letter to the Daily Herald to "tell my neighbors about the cost-reducing facts" about Obama's health care reform.
Durbin says that opponents lie about mandatory living wills, a public option won't be government take over and illegal immigrants won't be covered under the government plan. A question to Mr. Durbin: If all these things you say are lies, then why do I have to write a letter to tell my neighbors? Why do you think, Mr. Durbin, people are believing all these so-called lies?
Maybe, Mr. Durbin, people don't trust the government's plan. Why don't you take out the living will provision? Why not make it easier for insurance companies to compete across states? Why not stop supporting legislation allowing illegal immigrants to become citizens? Why is my senator telling me what I should do instead of the other way around?
