Motorcyclists to help out girl with cancer
"Ryliepalooza," a motorcycle run to benefit Rylie Mogan, will be held on Sunday, Sept. 27.
It will begin at Woodstock Harley Davidson and end at Barbara Key Park on Pyott Road in Lake in the Hills. Registration will be from 9 to 11 a.m., followed by the Ryliepalooza festival at 2 p.m. at the park that will feature music, food, refreshments and a raffle. Organizers will also televise the Bears game.
The benefit will help raise money for 8-year-old Rylie Mogan who is battling an aggressive form of cancer. She is the daughter of a Lake in the Hills police officer and granddaughter of post member John White. She was recently diagnosed with Desmoplastic Small Round Cell Cancer, which is both an extremely rare and extremely aggressive form of cancer.
The effort is to bring hope to her as she fights this courageous battle. The funds raised from the events listed below will go toward helping the Mogan family meet the financial challenges facing them during this medical battle.
On Friday, Nov. 13, there will be a Texas Hold-Em Tournament at Lake in the Hills American Legion. The registration begins at 6 p.m.
Events are sponsored by the Lake in the Hills Police Benevolent Association which is a 501(c)3 organization. Direct donations can be made to the Lake in the Hills Police Benevolent in the name of Rylie Mogan. For details, contact Alice Brandt at (847) 658-5676 or abrandt@lith.org.
