Nationalized care a pig in a poke
Why rush into law a bill that will affect more than 300 million of us and forever change our entire health care system? Because we might reject it if we had the opportunity to read it in its entirety? Even excerpts from this bill should terrify us when we discover what's in store.
Do we really want the government to have the power to make life and death decisions for us? It's unbelievable that the AARP could support this bill considering how it will affect and ration care for seniors. How can we expect a government that can't even properly provide health care for our own veterans to care for millions more people covered under the proposed plan? Also, where will the doctors come from? Who will want to go into the medical profession just to become just another government employee?
A plan that will change the best health care system in the world needs to be completely understood before making radical changes. People from other countries come here for the outstanding care which is not available under their nationalized health plans. Where will we go when we can't get the care we need in our own country? You, who only think of the "free" care, please realize what freedoms you'll be giving up in return.
We need sufficient time to completely read and understand the plan in order to make informed decisions and take into consideration the unintended consequences which will inevitably occur. Surely we are innovative enough to arrive at other solutions to care for our uninsured.
