A different look at government spending
A different look at government spending
Million, billion, trillion: What's the difference?
The government is throwing millions, billions, trillions of dollars around like chicken feed. Let's look at these incomprehensible numbers in a different perspective.
A bushy-haired human scalp contains about 200,000 individual hairs. In order to collect a million human hairs, you would have to snip the locks of at least five people. A billion hairs would require clipping the growth on a minimum of 5,000 heads. It would take at least five million scalps to produce a trillion hairs.
And the government is talking dollars, not hairs!
