Outlook This could be one of Streamwood's better teams of the past few seasons. The Sabres have size and quickness and, most importantly, experience. Schmidt (11.2 ppg, 7.5 rpg) was an all-area player last season while Marchant is a 3-year point guard and Oehlerking a 4-year varsity player. "It's a good group of 10," said Rosner. "Four of them started the majority of our games last year, we've got our leading scorer back in Emma, Oehlerking is very versatile and Marchant is a third-year point guard." There's also credible size in Tomczak, who Rosner calls "the most improved player", and McGlone, who is only 5-9 but was a state qualifying high jumper. Rosner also feels Cerda will make an immediate impact. "They've seen what they can do when they play well and play as a team," Rosner said. "If we can limit the turnovers, we'll be able to push the ball. We're going to run. Every possession on defense has to make it tough for teams to score. We've got some good speed and quickness this year."
