Lake Co. 50-Plus Calendar

Events that specify they are for those who are over age 50, including trips, classes, support programs, fitness and lectures. Deadline is two weeks before event date.

Sept. 1

Arthritis exercise program: 10:45 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 1, and Friday, Sept. 4, Lake Barrington Shores Recreation Center. Designed for people with arthritis, the program emphasizes relaxation and joint-protection techniques. $4 per session in advance; $5 per session drop in. Senior Celebrations: Bus departs 8:30 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 2 from the Barrington Park District for a trip to the Art Institute of Chicago's 15th annual Senior Celebrations. Free, ongoing support group for caregivers that regularly care for or about a person who is 60 or older, or for those 60 or older who are raising a grandchild.
