No injuries in Bolingbrook house fire
Firefighters are investigating the cause of a blaze that broke out Friday morning in the 700 block of Pinecrest Road in Bolingbrook.
Battalion Chief Ron Bonda said no one was injured in the 6 a.m. blaze at the corner of Pinecrest and Cambridge roads.
He said the home was engulfed in smoke and fire was showing in the back corner when crews arrived.
He said the back corner of the house was destroyed and the remainder of the structure had severe water damage.
He said the cause of the fire remains under investigation.
Pinecrest, Cambridge and other streets in the Bolingbrook neighborhood were closed while firefighters battled the blaze.
