Scurrilous rhetoric deserves our scorn
A recent New York Times/MoveOn.org full-page ad portrayed the commander of U.S./coalition forces in Iraq as "General Betray Us."
Any elected official or candidate for political office in America, irrespective of party affiliation or stripe, who does not strongly condemn this despicable rhetoric as scurrilous and unconscionable deserves only the abject scorn of the electorate and a resounding defeat at the ballot box.
