Three car dealerships sold in Schaumburg
The Harold Zeigler Automotive Group announced Tuesday the acquisition of three dealerships in Schaumburg.
In a sale finalized last week, Schaumburg Chrysler, Schaumburg Dodge and Schaumburg Jeep, owned by three separate dealers, were acquired by Zeigler and will be combined into a single large operation, according to Zeigler.
"This expansion affords us an even greater ability to grow our investment in our home community," said Aaron Zeigler, president of the Automotive Group, in a statement.
The Automotive Group was founded in Lowell, Mich., and Zeigler said organizational resources for the Schaumburg operations will come from the company's supply partners and service providers located in west Michigan.
Effective immediately, the new Zeigler Chrysler Dodge Jeep and Sprinter dealership of Schaumburg will operate from the existing Schaumburg Jeep Dealership at 920 W. Golf Road.
The entire operation will relocate and do business from a new facility now being built on the existing Schaumburg Dodge property at 208 W. Golf Road. The move is expected to take place before then end of the year.
Harold Zeigler Automotive Group owns and operates 10 retail automotive dealerships, including one in Downers Grove.
The company owns and operates 26 franchises, three finance companies and insurance firms located throughout southwest Michigan, northern Indiana and Illinois. New car franchises include Ford, Lincoln, Mercury, Chrysler, Dodge, Jeep, Mitsubishi, Suzuki and BMW.
The Harold Zeigler Auto Group employs 500 people, sells about 12,000 vehicles a year and has annual sales in excess of $300 million.
