Clean house in Springfield

Our son attends a sheltered workshop in McHenry. Recently the parents/guardians of 300 clients received a letter saying there would be no program for those clients after July 24: 300 clients! Many of these people have nowhere else to go and nothing to do and no one to care for them. They can't take care of themselves without help. Many have mental health issues that will cause them to end up in jail or nursing homes where costs to care for them are higher and leave them hopeless.

We have been writing and calling and attending meetings with legislators to no avail. We can't fix this without those legislators. I propose that if the legislators we elect can't even get a budget that will stop our state's downward spiral, they don't deserve to be there. I will not vote for any incumbent legislator. Let's get rid of all these people, beginning with the biggest problem, Mike Madigan. Maybe then, when they are without a place to go, or without their safe salaries and pensions, they will see what ordinary people have to go through.

What do you say, folks? Are you with me?
