Fox Valley biz group welcomes expert's take on rocky economy
These days, the unpredictability of the stock market has most everyone on edge. The Fox Valley Leadership Business Symposium is shedding some light on these troubled times with its first event of the year, hosted by personal finance expert Terry Savage at Niche restaurant, 14 S. Third St., Geneva.
On Wednesday, June 10, from 6:30 to 9 p.m., Savage will present "The Savage Truth on the Markets and The Economy," alongside a three course meal prepared by Niche's Chef Jeremy Lycan. This exclusive forum provides one-on-one interaction with Savage - a regular commentator for CNN, CNBC, PBS and NBC, as well as a columnist for the Chicago Sun-Times - on issues related to investing, the financial markets and personal finance.
She has written four books, including the best-seller, "The Savage Truth on Money," which was named one of the 10 best money books of the year by Amazon.com and was also made into an hourlong TV special that aired on PBS. She's appeared several times on Oprah, won numerous awards including the National Press Club Award for Outstanding Consumer Journalism and two Emmys for her television work. She also currently serves on the board of directors of the Chicago Mercantile Exchange.
