Bianchi has done well in first term

I continue to serve as honorary chair of Lou Bianchi's re-election committee. I feel that Lou has more than fulfilled expectations as state's attorney for McHenry County. He has brought a high level of responsibility to the office while reducing major costs.

Lou has saved McHenry County taxpayers over $1 million by using the lawyers on his staff as prosecutors rather than hiring attorneys from private practices - the procedure that had been used prior to Lou's election.

Other innovations include his check enforcement program. This is the "in-house" collection of bad checks written against McHenry County businesses.

Lou has led the development of a county mental health court to work with citizens suffering from mental illness.

He has represented all of us with his leadership in the indictment and prosecution of law breakers.

I value his friendship and respect his excellent professional abilities. I encourage all eligible McHenry County voters to support his re-election.
