Naperville construction starts:
Naperville is slated to begin construction today to widen the radius on the northwest corner of Washington Street and Osler Drive. During the work, Osler will be designated as a one-way westbound road allowing access to Edward Hospital from Washington Street at Osler only. Exiting vehicles will be directed to use other access points on West Street, Martin Avenue and Washington Street. One southbound lane on Washington may temporarily be closed during construction as well. The project is slated for completion at the end of June.
Lisle teen faces charges:
A 15-year-old Lisle High School student has been charged with two misdemeanors for posting inappropriate and threatening statements on his Facebook page, authorities said Monday. Lisle police said they were contacted by residents concerned about some of the juvenile's postings on June 1 that appeared to be threats against his high school and possibly others. The boy was charged with attempted preventing or interfering with a child, a Class B misdemeanor, and disorderly conduct, a Class C misdemeanor, and taken to the DuPage County Youth Home. He since has been released from the youth facility but is on home detention with an ankle monitor, police said. The maximum penalty for conviction of a Class B misdemeanor is not more than six months in jail and a fine of not more than $1,500.
