Lessons in guiding teens to adulthood

Psychologist and author Lisa Damour discusses "Guiding Teenagers Through the Seven Transitions into Adulthood" in two presentations Tuesday, May 1, as part of the Glenbard Parent Series: Navigating Healthy Families.

The first presentation will begin at noon at the Marquardt Elementary District 15 Administration Center, 1860 Glen Ellyn Road, Glendale Heights; the second begins at 7 p.m. at Glenbard West High School, 670 Crescent Blvd., Glen Ellyn.

Damour will discuss why teens' erratic and confusing behavior is actually healthy, necessary and natural. She'll also offer parents tips to deal with anxiety, substance use, moods, media and more.
