Banks must enter digital age

For many, many years I have read articles about bank robberies. Those same articles have often included a grainy overhead photograph of a robber wearing a hat, hood and maybe even sunglasses. And law enforcement can always find a catchy phrase that highlights his/her style.

I just saw this same type article with your story about the "Beach Bum Bandit". But I must ask why are banks not required to install lower-angled, higher-resolution digital cameras at the teller counters, entrances and exits? These cameras would capture better and multiple images that would undoubtedly lead to quicker apprehensions and perhaps even reduce bank robberies. Until all banks invest in this enhancement, certain outdated banks will always be targeted by these robbers. Banks can apply all sorts of fees, and post withdrawals quickly, but can they at least come into the electronic digital age with security?
