HGTV coming to area:

Home & Garden Television's "Bang For Your Buck" is returning for a second season and looking for homeowners in the Chicago area who have completed renovations in the past three years. Each of the show's episodes will tour three similar remodels at similar price points in the same city. A design expert and real estate expert will be brought in to determine how the renovation affects each home's value. Taping is scheduled to begin soon. DJ and ice cream:

Music fills the air every Wednesday in June as Batavia Creamery and A+DJ host Weekend Wednesdays from 7 to 9 p.m. Hear your requests while enjoying your ice cream treats at the shop on the northwest corner of the Donovan Bridge on Wilson Street.

Jazz guitar concert:

Classical acoustic jazz guitarist Casey Nielsen will perform two Asian-influenced sets in the Fabyan Japanese Garden at 7 p.m. Friday in the Fabyan Forest Preserve, Route 31 north of Fabyan Parkway, Geneva. '42nd Street' at Arcada:

Come and meet those dancing feet as Rising Star Theatreworks kicks off its sixth season with "42nd Street" at 7:30 p.m. June 26 and 27 and 2 p.m. June 28 at the Arcada Theater, 105 E. Main St., St. Charles. It features high school and collegiate actors from Aurora, Batavia, Elburn, Geneva, St. Charles and Wayne. Tickets are $12 for adults and $10 for students and seniors.
