Three brothers face drug charges in Crystal Lake

Three Crystal Lake brothers face drug charges after a search on two homes turned up cocaine, marijuana, marijuana plants, scales, body armor and pellet guns, police said.

The McHenry County Sheriff's SWAT team, Crystal Lake police SWAT team and state troopers executed two search warrants Friday.

At one home, on the 1000 block of Cedar Crest Drive, three brothers were arrested after investigators found about 2 ounces of cocaine, 15 grams of marijuana, 4 marijuana plants, drug paraphernalia, $5,000 and the rest of the items, Sheriff Keith Nygren said in a release. At another residence on the 900 block of Cambridge Lane, a small amount of marijuana and drug paraphernalia was found, Nygren said.

The total street value of the drugs was about $9,000.

Charged with possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver, possession of a controlled substance and possession of both marijuana and marijuana plants is Daniel J. Perez, 25, of the home on Cedar Crest Drive, Nygren said. Charged with possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver and possession of marijuana are Michael J. Perez, 18, and Steven M. Perez, 19, of the same address.
