Ochoa grateful for voters' faith in him
Now that the local elections are over and I have time to catch my breath, I want to be sure I say THANK YOU VERY MUCH to all those residents of Hanover Township who elected me as their Highway Commissioner for the next four years. This is a position that I take very seriously and am greatly humbled by their vote of confidence and trust in me.
This win is a total team effort. It's a win for our residents and what they stand for and believe in. After all, I am just the gatekeeper of their Highway Department tax dollars and I absolutely promise to guard this money as if were my own. This is my commitment to our residents.
Without the wonderful guidance of Mike Kelly (the new mayor of Bartlett) and Tim Schneider (our current Cook County commissioner) along with some help from my own family members and some very important friends and colleagues, none of this would have happened. All their support and assistance was just FANTASTIC.
I am so glad the residents of Hanover Township looked beyond the negative attack ads and voted from their hearts and the understanding of my/our key issues of keeping our highway department taxes as low as possible, keeping our roads safe and maintaining and servicing our 26 miles of unincorporated roads in good condition. At the end of the day, these are really the only issues that matter.
THANK YOU residents of Hanover Township. I am deeply appreciative of your faith in me and our Highway Department team. We will not let you down!
Craig Ochoa
