It's time for all of us to work together
Prior to the election of the 43rd president, it took the U.S.A. 224 years to accumulate a debt of about $5 trillion.
It took the G.W. Bush administration only eight years to double the debt that now is about $ 10.6 trillion.
That number is so large that it is beyond comprehension for most of us.
The debt for every man woman and child in the U.S.A. is about $35,000 each.
Recently a Fence Post writer complained, "Obama voters have done the country in."
That may be, but it seems to me that somebody already beat us to that task before Obama takes office.
True, the problems our country faces seem insurmountable. Can we solve them?
"Yes, we can," if the millions of voters who voted against Obama join the effort to solve the problems instead of partisan bickering.
It is time for extremes right and left to move toward the center and work together.
United we stand; divided we fall.
