Downers Grove mom, kids found
A Downers Grove woman and her two children were found safe Thursday morning in Kentucky after being gone for more than 24 hours.
Carolyn Bossany, 38, left home Wednesday morning to drive her two children, Claire, 10, and George, 7, to Hillcrest Elementary School, police said Wednesday. The children never reported to school and Bossany never returned home, prompting her husband to call police.
Bossany and her two children were located at a hotel in Kentucky around 10 a.m. and all were in good health. Police said local officials have been speaking with her and are assessing the situation.
They believe she was traveling to a relative's house in Georgia.
Police said Wednesday evening that Bossany has exhibited some erratic behavior during the past few days where the safety of her and the children were a concern.
Police say no charges will be filed relating to the disappearance and they consider the case closed.
