Cary Park District sets its Concert in the Park lineup

The Cary Park District has announced the lineup for the 2008 summer Concert in the Park series. Summer concerts are held six times throughout the summer at the Rotary Band Shell in Lions Park. All concerts begin at 7 p.m. Admission is free.

June 12: Alex & the Allstars. Playing a variety of hits from the 70s until now, Alex & the Allstars engage their audience with talented musicianship and a party-time attitude.

June 26: Mr. Myers. Mr. Myers blends the tropical sounds of calypso and ska, the rhythms of reggae and a little rock 'n' roll with some favorite classic tunes to create their own style of music -- Caribbean rock.

July 3: The Daddy-O's. Put on your dancing shoes and let The Daddy-O's entertain you with the coolest rock 'n' roll celebrating America's birthday.

July 10: Final Say. Comprised of four of Chicago's top musicians, Final Say will energize the audience with a full rich sound, tight grooves, seamless harmonies and a non-stop high energy show. Their musical repertoire extends from the beginning of rock 'n' roll all the way through today's hits.

July 17: British Export. British Export takes audiences on a magical trip to the '60s with the most authentic Beatles tribute show in the world. They excite the senses with authentic instruments and costumes, and the music that inspired a generation.

July 24: The Only Sons. The Only Sons, one of Chicago's most versatile and sought after bands, has an extensive play list that covers the great dance hits of the '70s and '80s, classic rock, as well as the best of the '90s.
