Elk Grove Village caterer expands menu with acquisition
Elk Grove Village-based Tasty Catering announced today that it's acquiring the assets of Rosanne's Catering Services, a 21-year-old catering and events company based in Bloomingdale.
The acquisition is a strategic decision to extend Tasty Catering's client base.
"The completion of this acquisition represents a significant step for Tasty Catering in its strategy to maintain the year-over-year growth it has enjoyed for the last five years," said Tom Walter, CEO and founding partner of Tasty Catering. "We have significantly increased the breadth of our market concentration."
Mike Burzawa, owner of Rosanne's Catering says the acquisition is a good fit.
Tasty Catering plans to incorporate Rosanne's recipes into its existing menus, offering consistency for Rosanne's clients and more choice for existing Tasty Catering clients. Tasty Catering, founded in 1989, is family owned and operated. The company specializes in corporate events.
The company employs 150 full time, part time and seasonal employees.
Tasty Catering customers include Cushman & Wakefield, Hamilton Partners, Sherman Hospital, University of Chicago, Comcast, RSM McGladrey, Cummins-Allison and Harris Bank.
The company was named 2008 Caterer of the Year by Catering magazine and 2008 Best Place to Work in Illinois.
