Hoffman park needs serious makeover

Homestead Park in Hoffman Estates looks like something that belongs in a ghetto from a bad movie. The park district refuses to clean it up but they can keep two to four men on the baseball diamonds manicuring them on an almost daily basis. That's even if it is raining or the prediction of thunder storms for the afternoon or evening.

The children's playground is slowly being taken apart. The stone blocks are removed or pushed aside and never repaired. There is a gazebo that is looking like some kind of slum building. People walk their dogs and they leave a mess all around the park.

I just do not understand why the park district devotes so much time and effort to these baseball diamonds and totally ignore the rest of the park.
