Hester to the rescue … again
Short bite: Four words: Thank you, Devin Hester.
Had to ask bite: Two wins in a row for the first time all season. Where, oh where, was this kind of performance during the first half?
Reality bite: Face it, despite the win, this Bears team has more issues than the McLaughlin Group.
Go figure bite: Who would have thought Bears fans might enter the off-season feeling pretty good about Kyle Orton being the man to beat for the starting quarterback gig?
Ouch bite: Mr. Colston, meet Mr. Briggs.
Spring bite: Less than 50 days until pitchers and catchers report.
Late spring bite: 116 days and counting until the NFL draft. Can you say offensive tackle?
Lengthy bite: Bears general manager Jerry Angelo plans to meet the media this week to discuss the season that was … or wasn't, depending on your point of view. Let's hope he secured the conference room for a couple of hours because this could be a long one.
Future bite: Wish list for 2008: That Lovie Smith conducts a training camp in which players who perform best are the ones who win starting jobs. Alex Brown, nudge, nudge.
