Second man charged in 'Daybreak' robberies
A Joliet man was ordered held without bond Friday for allegedly working as the getaway driver in a recent bank robbery for a man accused in a series of holdups attributed to the "Daybreak Bandit."
Jamar Jones, 24, of 207 First Ave., was arrested in connection with the robbery of a Joliet bank Wednesday.
He is accused of helping Jermaine Smith, 25, of Matteson in the robbery.
Smith was arrested Wednesday when authorities say they tracked a vehicle believed used in one of the robberies to his residence and found burned money from the robbery in his fireplace.
