Bravo for not bowing to pressure

Bravo for Winfield Trustee Angel Oakley and Village President Rudy Czech for standing up to the intimidation of Citizen Editor Stan Zegel. For more than a year, the people of Winfield have received, sometimes free, the yellow journalism published by Citizen Zegel. Unbiased reporting does not exist in this publication. With bylines such as, "Our Fine Staff," and using this vehicle to brainwash the township with his desires, I am glad to see citizens standing up to his tactics. Now, Citizen Zegel would have everyone believe he is being maligned by two candidates for office who disagree with his thought process. In the only paper that is supposedly dedicated to the town of Winfield, we are given his slant on what the town should be. I am sure Citizen Zegel will say that the village has approved the paper he puts together out of his Winfield home. Supposedly representing the residents, yet the paper repeatedly lists the authors as "the fine staff." I thought only the former Soviet Union did this. Well, Citizen Zegel, no matter who won the Winfield election, some people were not pressured by your tactics to drop out in favor of your people. Bravo, Trustee Oakley. Bravo, Village President Czech.
