Wrong to take so much from 1 source

Candidates for the District 214 school board received large campaign contributions from one individual and one union.

Ms. Pinney received $8,000 from Jack Roeser and his Family Taxpayer Network. Ms. Cooper Spickard, Ms. Gonzales Bragaw, Mr. Perkins and Mr. Hineman received $4,000 from a custodial union.

It is wrong to accept such large campaign contributions form one source. What do the contributors hope to gain from such large campaign contributions, especially a union with whom you may be negotiating contracts?

This is prime example of what is wrong with Illinois politics - pay to play.
