Misinformation, political spin and lies

I was absolutely amazed by Mr. Charles Bellizzi's rant in the Fencepost.

He seems to speak with authority when he claims "You know the party I mean, the ones who under Bush never rejected a spending bill, didn't believe in oversight of banking or having regulations to follow... " I must then assume he is referring to the Democratically controlled Congress from 2006 to 2008 under Bush. The same group who saw the economy meltdown coming and just stood in the middle of the tracks, smiled and waited for the pending collision. When it did all we heard was "Not me, not me" and "the last eight years, the last eight years".

Give us a break.

He then goes on to berate great Americans like Governor Jindahl and Rush Limbaugh. Why attack these folks when they try to rally a following for the support of our constitutional laws and values?

Republicans have again and again made alternate proposals in Congress only to be chided and dismissed as irrelevant.

Remember the Obama stimulus bill, the Obama budget? The only thing this will cure is solvency, retirement investments and the pursuit of happiness.

People don't really understand much of anything when they believe the ills of our nation are party-based. That in itself is ludicrous. Both parties are great entertainers and spend our money like there is no tomorrow. There is currently no leadership in Congress or at the White House to stimulate cooperation between the parties. Congress, not any one party, is completely responsible for our current economic mess and the best they can muster is to blame each other.

It's not about education funding, health care reform or global warming, all of which is voodoo marketing just to move a flawed agenda forward. I think someone should try listening to people and not these political entertainers who will invent a crisis just to push their agendas.
