Air Force band to perform in Arlington Heights

The United States Air Force Concert Band & Singing Sergeants put on a performance at the Forest View Educational Center Friday, April 17. The United States Air Force Convert Band & Singing Sergeants play at 7 p.m. Friday, April 17, at the Forest View Educational Center, 2121 S. Goebbert Road, Arlington Heights. Free tickets were distributed by co-sponsors the Daily Herald and District 214 Community Education.

Belew still hoping

Guitarist extraordinaire Adrian Belew brings his Power Trio to the Prairie Center this weekend. Belew is a veteran of Talking Heads and King Crimson and played with David Bowie but also produced tongue-in-cheek hits of his own like "Oh Daddy." Expect a rousing but not too grandiose show. The Adrian Belew Power Trio plays at 8 p.m. Saturday, April 18, at the Prairie Center for the Arts, 201 Schaumburg Court, Schaumburg. All-ages Prodigy

The suburban band Makeshift Prodigy, including keyboardist Brandon Fox of Elk Grove Village, tops the bill of an all-ages show at the Metro Saturday. ... The Handsome Family returns to their old Chicago stomping grounds this weekend touring behind their ambitious new album, "Honey Moon."
