Teen in critical after Streamwood shooting
One person remains hospitalized after being shot by a man wearing a Halloween mask while riding his bike in the 900 block of Miller Road Sunday night in Streamwood, police officials said Tuesday.
Police were dispatched to the area at about 10:51 p.m. where a man was bleeding with gunshot wounds to the shoulder and back, official police reports show.
Police said a 17-year-old boy was riding his bike westbound on Miller when another bicyclist came up behind him and drew a silver-colored gun and shot at the victim three times.
The offender then turned his bike and headed in an unknown direction along Larson Avenue.
Streamwood Fire personnel transported the victim to Advocate Lutheran General Hospital in Park Ridge where he remains in critical condition, officials said.
Witnesses told police the man was wearing a “Scream” style costume mask and a dark blue hooded sweatshirt.
