'A Chorus Line' coming to Palatine

ArtReach Educational Theatre in partnership with Spotlite Theatrix Production Company is staging " A Chorus Line," book by James Kirkwood, Jr. and Nicholas Dante, music composed by Marvin Hamlisch, and lyrics by Edward Kleban.

Desperate for work, 17 dancers compete for eight spots on a Broadway chorus line. Their stories unfold in song and dance as we learn more about each one. Who will make the cut?

A Chorus Line will be presented 7:30 p.m. Friday, Oct. 23, and Saturday, Oct. 24; and 2 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 25, at the Harper College J Theater, 1200 West Algonquin Road, Palatine. Group discounts are available. Due to the mature nature of this show, anyone under the age of 13 must be accompanied by an adult.

The show is directed by Dan Walsh of Chicago with vocal direction by Raquel Adorno of Chicago. Original Broadway choreography reproduced by Anne Santiago of Los Angeles, Dan Walsh of Chicago and Carol Bair of Schaumburg.
