Don't raise taxes - cut spending

I am totally stunned that this crazy village of Mount Prospect would look to increase property taxes. The explanation of "costs are going up" is getting very old. The reality of the situation is that the village needs to cut costs, not expect the taxpayers to pick up the tab. They always fall back on "we will have to cut services." Mount Prospect needs to make a complete overhaul of costs and expenses and not expect a handout from the taxpayers every time this village gets a whim to spend our money.

Our costs as taxpayers are also going up. How dare this village raise taxes 10 percent when homeowners are struggling just to keep their homes. I, as a village taxpayer, have cut back to the bare bones. It's about time the village took stock of their costs and expenses and cut back also. You cannot keep coming to the taxpayers for handouts - there is no more money to give.
