Many questions in wake of corruption
Illinois politics has become the laughing stock of the country, and let's not forget that both the governor and the president got their experience while starting in the Chicago and Cook County political arenas. That experience leads one to ponder many questions.
Every Illinois politician expressed scorn and surprise relating to the pay to play in Illinois politics. How can anyone be surprised when it happened over six years of this administration not to mention the former governor's term?
The Governor had claimed financial problems taped during the investigation. How can he afford high-profile lawyers and trips to New York for TV interviews? Could any of these be covered by taxpayers money?
In a capitalistic society, what business is too big to fail? Politicians gave banks $350 billion to help them out of the crisis. Nobody seems to know where that money went and there is no sign things are better.
Is anybody going to be prosecuted for the home mortgage mess or the CEOs greed that led to company failures?
Joe Biden says its our patriotic duty to pay taxes. Maybe so, but not when politicians aren't accountable for how that money is spent.
While Bush was in office, Democrats were screaming about deficit spending. Once he left office Democrats embrace much larger deficit spending proposals.
The President wants money to spend on education so more students can get a college education. Once they get this education, where are the jobs?
American has shied away from socialism however the programs being talked about by the new administration mirror socialism.
A government of, by and for the people has been lost. Career politicians have changed that to mean you vote for us because we know what's best for Americans.
Certain politicians said sacrifice will be our future. In case they didn't notice Americans have been sacrificing because of political ineptitude.
