Blackhawks activate Pahlsson, send Pelletier to Rockford
The Blackhawks have activated newly acquired center Sammy Pahlsson from the injured reserve list.
The Hawks acquired Pahlsson from the Anaheim Ducks along with defenseman Logan Stephenson and a conditional draft pick in exchange for defenseman James Wisniewski and center Petri Kontiola on March 4.
Pahlsson has been recovering from mononucleosis, but he's expected to make his debut with the Blackhawks in Columbus.
He had 10 assists and 15 points in 52 games for Anaheim this season. He missed 18 games after being placed on injured reserve on Feb. 2, including six games with Chicago.
Also Wednesday, the Hawks reassigned left wing Pascal Pelletier to Rockford of the AHL.
