Christianity not roll-your-own religion

President Obama's recent support for embryonic stem cell research and abortion illustrate just how little politicians like him (and Nancy Pelosi and John Kerry and Joe Biden) understand about the religion they claim to be a part of. And no, you cannot believe one thing, but live your life another way. Sorry, it doesn't work like that. Jesus of Nazareth stood for the lowly, the innocent and the vulnerable. He said "let the little children come to me". Do any of the anti-life supporters actually think that Jesus would support killing innocent babies in the womb for birth control (or any other reason), or that he would even support birth control in any form? After reading the bible cover to cover, I find no support for that position.

Ever since former President Bush received overwhelming support from the Christians of this country, his opponents have been trying to suck up to them by proclaiming their "faith" and how it guides their lives. What a crock; they obviously have no clue. They should let the old WWJD (What Would Jesus Do) saying guide them if they really want to be believable.

And by the way, to the "Catholic" politicians; Pelosi, Kerry, Biden: If you receive Communion, you are committing sacrilege. Look it up. Perhaps you should consult your pastor, and not the DNC, for guidance. Bottom line, if you want to claim to be a part of something, perhaps you should research what it is all about and adhere to its guidelines. After all, Christianity is not a roll-your-own religion. We have an example of how to live.
