Look into facts of global warming

Has anyone seen the Jan. 1 report from the Arctic Climate Research Center at the University of Illinois? It reveals that the area of global sea ice reached 17.5 million square kilometers. Here's the inconvenient truth for many of our readers: this level equals the area of ice in 1979. This is just the "tip of the iceberg," so to speak. Last year was the coldest of the decade, according to Michael Asher of Daily Tech. Record-breaking snow accumulation was reported worldwide, China is experiencing its coldest winter in 100 years and Baghdad saw its first snow in all recorded history. South Africa, Greenland, Argentina and Chile contain global temperature tracking outlets and show that during the past year, global temperatures have dropped precipitously. Polar bears, protected by the endangered species act and feared to be dying from warmer temperatures, exhibit a population of nearly 25,000. In 1970 there were about 10,000. Carbon dioxide, purported to be the main offender produced by anthropogenic activities, makes up .4 percent of the earth's atmosphere, according to John Coleman, founder of The Weather Channel. The American Physical Society has also made a statement recently that indicates 50,000 physicists have come to their senses. Their spokesman reported that the consensus rejects the climate change models endorsed by the United Nations Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change. I implore everyone to look into the fact-based science that exists, not the junk that is politically funded and motivated. And for all who are gaga for Al Gore: do you see him and his entourage cruising the town in limousines and SUVs, circling the globe in his Gulfstream jet or swimming in his pool that requires a $500 monthly heating bill? Please think for yourselves. Do what you like to do. Conserve energy where possible. Be nice to one another.
