Red-light cameras aren't worth cost
It's a concern to me that drivers who fail to notice red-light cameras get into more accidents.
Red-light cameras have served their purpose by decreasing right angle accidents but have consequently resulted in more rear-end accidents. I believe that we should disestablish the use of red-light cameras.
The system is a waste of money. It is very costly to maintain. There are multiple alternatives to safeguard against red light runners. The timing of yellow lights needs can be recalibrated.
The lines on intersections can be repainted to inform the driver how much distance they actually have to stop or go. If red-light cameras are discontinued, and those solutions are executed thoroughly, we will be much safer.
