RTA talking budget at public meetings
The Regional Transportation Authority is starting a round of hearings to discuss its upcoming budget.
The RTA has financial oversight of the Chicago Transit Authority, Pace and Metra. All three agencies are facing financial constraints in the wake of reduced funding.
Local hearings include: 9 a.m. Monday, RTA headquarters, 175 W. Jackson Blvd., Chicago; 6 p.m. Monday, Waukegan Public Library, 128 N. County St.; 6 p.m. Wednesday, Glen Ellyn village hall, 535 Duane St.; 6 p.m. Wednesday, Crystal Lake city hall, 100 W. Woodstock; 6 p.m. Thursday, Aurora Public Library, 1 E. Benton St.; 6 p.m. Thursday, Joliet Historical Museum, 204 N. Ottawa St.
