Ozga homers as Stevenson rolls over Niles West 9-1

Rebekah Ozga smashed an over-the-fence homer, as Stevenson's softball team won its first game of the season.

The Patriots defeated host Niles West 9-1.

Stevenson (1-1) received 2 hits apiece from Ozga, Ashley Niedermayer (double), Annelise Docel, Amanda Jaegers (double, RBI), Nicole Duda (double, RBI) and Megan Felz (RBI).

Winning pitcher Jordan Willis had a no-hitter for 6 2/3 innings. Allison Micucci struck out the side in the seventh.
