Our picks in Lake in the Hills: Huckins, Harlfinger, Barreto
Among those running for Lake in the Hills village board, incumbent Bob Huckins has a firm grasp of issues facing the village.
His experience with other agencies serves the residents well and he deserves another term to continue to involve residents in local issues.
Incumbent Steve Harlfinger's longtime involvement and comprehension of the issues helps get things done. Challenger Denise Barreto's grass-roots campaign has put her in touch with residents, and she would bring fresh debate to village board meetings. Joseph Wright, Jeffrey Siegel and Shelly Forte are also running.
Huckins, Harlfinger and Barreto are endorsed.
